Community Guidelines
Wave is a place to say hi and meet real people nearby. These guidelines keep it safe and welcoming. They apply everywhere on Wave — profiles, photos, messages, communities, and meetups. Breaking them can mean content removal, a warning, suspension, or a permanent ban.
Be real
- Be 18 or older. Wave is for adults only.
- Be yourself — use your own real photos. No impersonation or fake profiles.
- One account per person.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate based on who someone is.
- No unsolicited sexual messages or advances after someone has said no.
- Treat people the way you'd want to be treated when you meet in person.
Zero tolerance
The following are never allowed and are removed immediately. Serious violations are reported to the authorities:
- Anything involving minors, or content that sexualizes minors, in any form.
- Nudity, sexual, or sexually explicit content.
- Violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Illegal content or activity, including selling drugs or weapons.
- Sharing someone's private information, or intimate images, without consent.
- Scams, fraud, spam, solicitation, or advertising.
How we keep Wave safe
- Photos and videos are automatically screened before they appear.
- Optional identity verification helps confirm real people.
- Every profile, message, photo, and community can be reported, and any user can be blocked.
- We review reports and act on them promptly, removing content and users that break these rules.
